Biography

Anthony P. Laubach | ChFC

A native Washingtonian, I graduated from the University of Maryland in 1983 and have been working in the financial services industry since 1988 when I joined what was then known as Investors Diversified Services in Pasadena, CA.  I affiliated with Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. (TFA) in 1992 as a registered representative before moving back to suburban Maryland in 1993. I began providing investment advisory services in 2003 and the following year earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

In 2005, I accepted management responsibilities as a Registered Principal for TFA. This role requires me to train and supervise other Washington-area TFA registered representatives. My most fulfilling role, however, is that of a trusted financial advisor and advocate for my clients. I strive to enhance their lives by providing objective advice and financial products and services that best meet their needs.

I live and work in Silver Spring, Maryland, and because I believe in our local community, am actively involved in its affairs.  I have served on the St. Jerome's School Advisory Board, Hyattsville, and the Boards of Directors of the Notre Dame Education Center, Washington D.C, and Elizabeth Seton High School, Bladensburg.  Currently, I am Finance Committee Chair at Elizabeth Seton High School and President of the Catholic Business Network of Prince George's County, where I have served in various capacities since the organization's inception in 1997. I am also an active member of the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce. Since 2007, I have combined my desire to serve the community with my passion for cooking by volunteering at Miriam's Kitchen  where I am a sous chef.   The Armed Forces Foundation is another local charity where I volunteer my time helping Wounded Warriors.

My life experiences help me empathize with clients of all types – young parents saving for their children’s college educations, empty-nesters saving for retirement, those already retired, or small business owners striving to grow their business in today’s changing times. All rely on my experience, knowledge and commitment to help them reach their financial goals.  I hope you will too.
