A native Washingtonian, I graduated from the University of Maryland, University College, in 1983 and have been working in the financial services industry since 1988.  In 2002 I earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, and in 2004 I was accepted by The American College into the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School where I am pursuing a Master of Science in Financial Services.  In September 2005, I became a Registered Principal for Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. (TFA).  So in addition to running my own financial planning practice, I am also responsible for the oversight of other Washington area TFA registered representatives.

I live in Silver Spring, Maryland, and because I believe in our local community, am actively involved in its affairs.  I served for six years on the St. Jerome's School Advisory Board, Hyattsville, and five years on the Board of Directors of the Notre Dame Education Center in Washington, D.C. Currently, I am Finance Committee Chair on the Board of Directors of Elizabeth Seton High School, Bladensburg.  I am also a charter member of the Catholic Business Network of Prince George's County, having served in various capacities including President since the organization's inception in 1997.

As the father of two college-age sons, I have experienced many of the same challenges some of my younger clients face - balancing multiple savings goals, selecting and maintaining adequate insurance and managing cash flow to name just a few.  Yet all my clients, be they young parents, business owners or retirees, rely on my professional experience, knowledge and commitment to helping them reach their financial goals.  I hope you will too.
